Frequently Asked Questions
What happens at my initial consultation?
At your initial consultation, I will do a thorough health intake which includes a review of your current symptoms and concerns and a full health history assessment. This enables me to understand a complete picture of your health and how symptoms may be connected in your body. After this, if needed, I will recommend blood tests and/or Functional Testing to gather further medical information. Some patients are given health recommendations at the first visit (supplements, diet, lifestyle), but more often than not - we wait until we get your test results back at the second appointment, so I can prescribe a plan that is very targeted for you as an individual.
How long does an initial consultation take?
Please allow up to 90 minutes for your initial consultation to give us ample time for a thorough health assessment.
How do I go about ordering my tests and supplements?
When getting blood tests, you’ll have the option of going to your GP to get blood tests done or (for patients living in Australia) there is also the option of doing your blood tests privately if you prefer, in which case I will give you a test request referral form which you can take directly to a pathology centre (thereby they will not be covered by Medicare). Functional Testing will be ordered through our clinic and test kits posted directly to you for you to complete as per instructions. For any prescribed supplements, all my Australia/NZ patients have access to purchase their products via Vital.ly (an online ordering dispensary) which you can order after your consultation. Please note, all tests and supplements can only be given to patients of mine who have had a consultation with me prior.
How long should I book for my follow up consultation?
As a general rule, a Standard Follow Up Consultation requires 45-60 mins which allows time to review test results and discuss how you have been feeling and how your treatment plan has been progressing since your previous appointment. If you need a quick check in to ask a few simple questions about your supplements or diet, you can book in a Quick Check-In Appointment (20-30 minutes).

Do you have other practitioners you work alongside?
100%. At the very core of my training as a Naturopathic Doctor, is my ethos in holistic care - which includes referring and consulting with other practitioners who do amazing work outside the scope of Naturopathy. I love an integrated approach and will work in tandem with your GP, your specialists and whomever else you trust with your health.
